Couture Portfolio
In 2018, after the birth of my daughter, I discovered the joy of creating my own accessories and clothing—for both her and myself—under the guidance of the talented and experienced Els Sienart. My very first project was a simple pincushion, but in that small stitch was born a deep passion for design. Each workshop ignited my creativity and curiosity, making me believe that with the right guidance, nothing was impossible.
Seeing my daughter wear the pieces I crafted brought immense pride and joy. But as any parent knows, toddlers grow in the blink of an eye. This realization pushed me to rethink design, searching for ways to make garments more adaptable—pieces that could evolve with her, extending their life and meaning over time.
After three years of exploring every pattern I could get my hands on, I felt the urge to push my skills further. In September 2021, I took the leap and enrolled in fashion school in Brussels, eager to refine my techniques and deepen my understanding of garment construction. Balancing a full-time career and motherhood leaves little time for study, but every moment spent learning fuels my passion. It might take me ten years to earn my degree, but for me, the true reward lies in the journey, not the destination.
This page is where I share my creations—projects from school, personal experiments, and everything in between.
I hope you enjoy exploring my work as much as I enjoy creating it.

Reborn Threads:
Upcycling Waste into Wearable Art

This project focuses on upcycling and creative transformation. Using second-hand or reclaimed materials, the goal is to design and construct a unique garment or accessory, exploring innovative techniques to reimagine waste into a new, functional, and artistic piece. The process emphasizes sustainability, experimentation, and storytelling, culminating in a presentation of the work and design journey.

Transformative Stitch: Creating Identity Through Embellishment
This project focuses on transforming a lab coat into a unique, event-appropriate garment inspired by a chosen cultural or situational theme. By incorporating additional pieces (sleeves, pockets, trims) and embellishments such as embroidery, printing, or appliqué, the goal is to explore innovative design techniques. The final creation emphasizes functionality, aesthetics, and storytelling, while highlighting the transformation from a utilitarian item to a statement piece.

Redefining Fashion:
No Past But Now
This project draws inspiration from the architectural philosophy of Bernard Tschumi, known for his radical approach to space, form, and movement. Tschumi's work often challenges conventional architectural boundaries, emphasizing fragmentation, superimposition, and the interplay between structure and human activity. His designs focus on the dynamic relationship between form and function, where spaces are not static but are defined by movement and interaction. The aim is to translate these principles into fashion by creating a unisex garment that incorporates division, layering, and experimental volumes. The design process involves developing moodboards inspired by Tschumi’s architectural motifs, constructing modular and adaptable prototypes, and finalizing a garment that merges structural precision with creative freedom, reflecting the ethos of 21st-century design.

Distorted Perspectives: Exploring Graphic Manipulations in Fashion
This project focuses on creating a hybrid garment for the upper body by exploring graphic distortions and textile manipulations. Using 100% cotton fabric with printed motifs, participants will experiment with techniques like pleating, folding, stretching, and layering to create visual and volumetric distortions. The final design will incorporate 2-3 distortions to transform the fabric into a dynamic and artistic piece, emphasizing innovation in texture, form, and silhouette. The process involves textile experimentation, pattern manipulation, and model construction, culminating in a creative presentation of the finished garment.
